The Subject Associations Working Group (SAWG) is an informal grouping, meeting once a term in order to share perspectives on common interest themes. It consists mainly of the larger associations, those with full time professional staff and therefore with the capacity to collaborate in various ways. SAWG, of course, has a particular interest in teachers’ selection and use of learning materials and is happy to endorse this tool kit. We believe it will be a useful resource for school-based training.

The GA said: "Text books, field equipment, ICT resources…the annual budget never seems to be enough for all the resources you need. A close look at how you manage your geography department’s resources is time well spent. The GA welcomes the Learning Resource Kit to support this. The kit is clear and easy to navigate around, includes all the information you need to better manage your resources and can also be used to form a departmental policy on resources…useful during inspection."
